The
Myopia study will look at the safety and effectiveness of a medication
expected to prevent the progression of myopia in children.
Testing
in animals has shown that this medication appears to safely slow
or stop the development of Myopia.
 |
 |
The
medication is placed in your child's eye twice a day: once
when your child gets up in the morning and once just before
going to sleep at night. You will be shown how to use the
medication. |
 |
 |
Your
child's participation in the Myopia study would be for one
year. During that time, there will be up to 8 visits. Two
or three visits will take about two hours each with the remaining
visits lasting about one hour. Visits will be scheduled after
school for your convenience. |
 |
 |
During
visits, your child will be given standard eye examinations.
